The same applies to the backplate. An interactive flat panel's backplate is sheet metal — it holds the screen, the power supply, the speakers, and the OPS slot together. If a supplier buys that from outside, small tolerance errors start to appear, and over time those errors turn into loose frames, rattles, and overheating.

None of this is visible on a spec sheet. It is the kind of thing you find out after 500 units are already in your warehouse.

In-House LCD Module Production

This is the first place Lonton is different. We run our own LCD module workshop, which means we bind the panel, backlight, and driver ourselves instead of buying a finished module off the shelf.

Why does that matter to you? Two reasons. First, supply stability — we are not waiting on a third party for our most critical component, so your lead time does not move every time the market shifts. Second, quality control — a defect in a module is caught in our facility, not in your shipment.

We also use genuine LG LCD panels rather than unmarked substitutes. That is a choice we make on purpose: panel quality is the single biggest factor in how a display looks and how long it lasts, and it is not worth cutting corners there.

In-House Sheet Metal Fabrication

The backplate and mounting brackets of an interactive flat panel are sheet metal, and we make ours in our own sheet-metal factory. Most suppliers order these parts from outside and hope the tolerances are close enough.

Making them in-house means the backplate fits the panel exactly, the mounting holes line up, and the finished display does not flex or rattle after it is hung on a wall. It also means we can customize the frame and brackets for OEM clients without waiting on an outside vendor.

For a buyer, that translates to fewer returns and a panel that still looks and feels solid a year in.

ORT Reliability Testing

Before a Lonton panel ships, it goes through our own ORT (ongoing reliability testing) lab. That is where we stress-test units the way a real classroom or meeting room will — repeated power cycles, long-run heat, touch-point durability, and vibration.

Most small assemblers do not have an ORT lab at all. They rely on the component makers to have tested the parts. That is better than nothing, but it is not the same as testing the finished product the way your end users will actually use it.

The result is a number we can stand behind: a 98% first-pass yield and a 99.95% quality pass rate across production. Those are not marketing numbers; they are what the line reports.
