Interactive Flat Panel Price in Chad: What to Budget in 2026

A school in N'Djamena needed boards with French-language software for its teachers, and the buyer learned the hardware was the easy half. Chad is landlocked, so every panel makes a long inland haul from the port at Douala in Cameroon before it reaches a classroom — and that leg is where the cost and the damage risk actually pile up.

The price is straightforward. Factory FOB out of China, a 65 to 86 inch panel runs about $1,200 to $2,800 depending on spec and quantity. The quote you'll get in N'Djamena is more like $3,000 to $6,000.

Four things eat that difference. Transit — Chad has no seaport, so panels come through Douala and then grind a long way inland, and solid packaging plus a container you control matter as much as the panel itself. Clearance — imports clear ABNOR conformity, slower without the paperwork ready. Language — it's a French-speaking market, so the on-screen menus need a French interface, and that's easy to overlook and expensive to fix after the fact. And the markup — middlemen add a cut at every step, and that's the one you can drop.

That combination favors factory-direct buying. A school or ministry outfitting several classrooms at once asks for the French interface up front, consolidates the order, and pays for the panels and the transit to N'Djamena — skipping the reseller chain that would otherwise sit between the port and the classroom.

Five panels or more, go factory-direct. One panel in a hurry? Buy locally and ask the seller who their factory is first.
